Chances are good that as a member or friend of the Corsair Community you are familiar with Arnie the Corsair. If you’re not familiar with him, Arnie the Corsair has been the official mascot of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth since Spring 2010. Since his arrival on campus, he has attended countless Corsair Athletic events, Moonlight Breakfasts, Orientation sessions, Convocations, Commencement ceremonies, and other University functions. Serving as an ambassador for the University, he’s also visited the children’s hospitals in Providence and Boston, spent time at Fenway Park and Worcester with local mascot friends, and participated in various area parades, weddings, and events. In 2017 Arnie introduced everyone to his “little” brother, AIRNEE, who is often found at the Corsair Football Games. In the thirteen (almost fourteen) years of Arnie’s time on campus Arnie the Corsair has met thousands of people spreading smiles around the world!

From the beginning, Arnie the Corsair has appeared at and/or participated in events at no cost to event organizers, hosts, or campus departments. In an effort to continue that tradition Arnie the Corsair needs your help! Your support will go far to ensure that Arnie’s expenses are absorbed by the mascot program and not passed along to others. Arnie's legacy...
Since 2010, he has been lucky enough to have 30 close friends (alums and current students) who have befriended him to ensure that he is at all of his events, wash his clothes, create his props and assist with his social media presence...all in an effort to increase school spirit and campus pride!
