We have more than 150 members and we currently have the equipment to support 15 people, so we will use the proceedings to buy more equipment so that we can support a wider corsair community. Net: $180 each (5 nets) = $900. Rackets: $700. Birdies: $300. Tapes and other miscellaneous items: $100
The Badminton Club at UMass Dartmouth:
We conduct two to three club meetings every week where all members can join, play badminton, socialize, and have fun. This way we promote inclusion and diversity along all our fellow corsairs. We welcome people with different skill level. Even if someone does not know how to play, we still encourage them to join our club. This way we help promote extracurricular activities on campus and add value to the campus community so that people have an opportunity to participate in sports and recreation even if they are not a part of any of our athletic teams. We realize college can be stressful so playing badminton and meeting new people can help relieve some stress and take a break from our busy schedule to decompress. Our goal is to make our campus more vibrant and help students establish meaningful connections among themselves.
