Description:
The IEEE Club at UMass Dartmouth is dedicated to fostering innovation, leadership, and collaboration among students by engaging in hands-on projects and competitions, such as the Micromouse challenge. As an active branch of the national IEEE organization, we aim to provide members with opportunities to network with professionals, gain technical expertise, and prepare for successful careers in engineering and technology. Through hosting on-campus events, like the Micromouse competition, we strive to inspire creativity, teamwork, and a commitment to advancing the field of engineering within both our university and the broader community.
IEEE at UMass Dartmouth:
One of our primary initiatives is building and competing in Micromouse challenges, where members design, build, and program small robots to autonomously navigate mazes. This hands-on project fosters technical skills in robotics, coding, and engineering while promoting problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork.
Why are donations necessary?
We are raising money to support our participation and hosting of the Micromouse competition. This initiative allows our members to develop practical skills in robotics, programming, and engineering design by building autonomous robots that navigate mazes.
