Description
The Mission of the Society of Community Leaders is to volunteer within our community and other communities around us. Our club took a trip to Florida last year to help with the hurricane which allowed our students to learn skills and help out the community. Volunteering allows students to learn helpful skills and to help the community around them
Society of Community Leaders at UMass Dartmouth:
Our club stays up to date with other organizations event, so we can help them execute their events. In addition, our club volunteers for off-campus events as well. Volunteering can include planting trees, harvesting food, building housing, and etc.
Donations help fund:
We would be raising this money to take a small group to Puerto Rico to help with food, security and additional aid, their rapidly changing climate. Additionally, funds will be used to support on-campus programs and volunteer opportunities that members of the Society of Community Leaders participate in.
