Our 2023-2024 Highlights
-NCAA Tournament - We traveled to Brunswick, ME for the NCAA National Tournament. We had a great 78-69 win over New Jersey City in the first round and advanced to the round of 32 where we lost a 67-59 hard fought battle against top ranked Bowdoin. The team worked so hard over the course of the entire season to get to this point and we are so proud of them for leaving it all out on the court. -NCAA selection show - After finishing the regular season with a 23-3 record and advancing to the LEC Championship, we received an at-large bid to participate in the NCAA Tournament. This was the program’s first bid since the 2016-17 season! - We were ranked as high as #20 in the nation this season! -We had two players named to LEC-All Tournament Teams. Carly Whiteside earned First Team accolades while Teja Andrews was named to Second Team and All Defensive team. - After a 2-0 weekend at the Smith College Holiday Classic, Carly Whiteside was named MVP after a stellar performance of 25 points and 17 rebounds against St. Joe’s of CT. We were also named tournament champions being the only team to go 2-0 on the weekend! -On January 13th, we hosted an alumni reception to honor all of our previous players and the impact they have had on our program! We had a great showing and it was great for our current players to interact and hear about our alumni’s experiences. - Lafrance Hospitality Tournament - After defeating Emerson College in game one of our Lafrance Hospitality Tournament we defeated nationally ranked Smith College 70-65 to win Tournament Champion. We had two players selected to all-tournament team for their performances over the weekend.
